붉은 손 (The Red Hand)
붉은 손 원형극장에 얽힌 이야기는 매우 기이합니다.

한때 이곳은 노천의 석조 계단극장으로, 안빌가드 시민들이 한 사람당 몇 드롭만 내면 다양한 장르의 흥미진진한 연극을 관람할 수 있는 평판 좋은 장소였습니다.

그러나 시간이 흐르며 붉은 손은 점점 더 폭력적인 이야기 전개로 악명이 높아지기 시작했고, 그것이 오히려 대중에게 큰 인기를 끌었습니다.

사람들은 정교하게 연출된 격투 장면과 과장된 인기 캐릭터들이 내뱉는 도전장이나 복수의 선언을 보기 위해 극장으로 몰려들었습니다.

언제부터였을까요?

무대 싸움이 진짜가 되었고, 손가락 사이로 피가 스며들며 붉은 천이 사라졌으며, 연기의 절규가 진짜로 끝을 구하는 비명이 되었던 그 순간을 아무도 정확히 기억하지 못합니다.

이제도 여전히 과장된 캐릭터와 복잡한 스토리는 남아 있지만, 칼날이 뽑히는 순간, 연기는 끝났습니다.

일부 사람들은 이 극장이 사실 카오스의 시대 이전에 잊혀진 고대 신전의 기울어진 지붕이라고 주장하기도 하지만, 점점 더 피에 굶주린 배우이자 전사가 된 자들에게 그것을 확인하려 드는 이들은 거의 없습니다.
