밤의 모타크, 만프레드 폰 카르슈타인
만프레드 폰 카르슈타인이라는 이름으로 알려진 흡혈귀 모르타크는 나가쉬의 모타크들 중에서도 가장 교활하고, 어쩌면 가장 배신에 가까운 자다.
그가 아직 나가쉬의 총애를 잃지 않고 무정한 황야 속 재더미가 되지 않은 것은, 오직 그가 여전히 유용하기 때문이다.
만프레드는 나가쉬의 적들 사이에 공포와 혼란을 퍼뜨려 그들을 약화시키고 분열시키는 데 능한 자다.
그를 섬기는 소울바운드들 또한 이와 같은 방식으로 행동하며, 적의 배후에서 은밀한 작전을 수행한다.
이들은 온갖 비열하고 섬뜩한 행동들을 자행하며, 나가쉬에게 저항하려는 필멸자들의 의지를 꺾고 전의를 앗아가는 것을 궁극적인 목표로 삼는다.
그 후 마침내 죽음의 그림자가 덮쳐온다.
