그리폰 홀 (GRYPHON HALL)
그레이워터 패스트니스 콘클레이브와 그들을 지원하는 관료들이 사용하는 ‘그리폰 홀’은 발리우스 말리티(Valius Maliti)의 설계 및 건축에 의해 지어진 건물이며, 그 사실은 구불구불한 복도, 높은 아치 천장, 그리고 소문 속 비밀 통로들 곳곳에서 여실히 드러납니다.


이 건물은 좁은 복도들이 복잡하게 얽힌 미로 같으며, 갑자기 거대한 청문회실이나 화려한 나선형 계단으로 이어집니다.

계단 위에서는 도시 전역을 굽어볼 수 있는 장관이 펼쳐집니다.


이곳에서 일하는 시 행정관들은 건물의 기이함을 어느 정도 애정 어린 눈으로 보지만, 건물 지붕을 장식한 세 개의 거대한 새 머리 조각상만큼은 섬뜩하다고 인정합니다.

이 새 머리들은 한때 도시의 세 권력 기관을 상징했다는 오래된 상징물이지만, 대부분의 시민들에겐 단지 흉측한 새 머리가 위에서 자신들을 노려보는 듯한 인상을 줄 뿐입니다 — 출생, 사망, 결혼을 등록하러 방문하는 이들조차 마찬가지입니다.


요즘 들어 콘클레이브는 그리 많은 일을 기대받지 않습니다.

단지 ‘포지 평의회(Council of the Forge)’가 제안하는 안건에 투표하고 지시를 따르는 역할만 요구됩니다.

이로 인해 많은 그랜드 콘클레이브 의원들이 분노를 느끼고 있으며, 지그마의 중대한 도시 중 하나인 그레이워터 패스트니스에서의 포지 평의회의 전례 없는 지배력을 떨쳐내기 위해 분투하고 있습니다.
